Bev Powis is our current Professional Calligrapher and produces some very fine work, examples of which can be found on this page. Bev works with Ink, Watercolour, gouache (which is an opaque water colour) and 23 carat gold leaf. She has been practicing Calligraphy and Illumination since the early 1980’s. Her work is inspired from the earliest ancient “Celtic” books (Kells and Lindisfarne etc.) through to the Medieval Manuscripts and Books of Hours of later years.
The Originals shown here are all in Bev’s Private collection however we will be delighted to discuss commissioning similar works or provide high quality prints using Colourfast inks on Quality Paper
